Yep I powered through it 🙂‍↕️
Today’s highlights:
1. I saw two funny aol addresses while reading the death files at the center.
2. I finished all of my bereavement assessments in a hour.
3. I ran 13 laps on the track today.
4. I ate breakfast and lunch today.
I’m excited about starting school ( I’m saying that like I’m not in school right now) because of the specialty. I’ll get to talk to other students about something that most people aren’t comfortable speaking/hearing about
🫂🫂 thank you for being vulnerable with us. You’re doing the best you can and that’s enough. Sending you all blessing and love 💛

A story in 4 parts..

I need, need, need ppl to understand that we do not live in a country built on freedom, safety, or choice. We have always lived within the system of capitalistic control that perpetuates a lot of atrocity and violence, both here and over seas. None of it started in November.

Below is teal header text that reads “Announcing the 2025 Disability Rising Fellowship Cohort!” and “Dr. KáLyn Coghill (they/them)” over a pale blue background. Centered is a circle picture of Dr. Coghill, a Black femme with multi-colored glasses, a tan shirt that says "the future is" in black cursive font, and short blonde and pink hair. They sit in front of a gold and white bookshelf filled with different books of multiple colors and sizes. On either side of the circle picture are teal framing sections. Below the picture, teal text reads “Blacksky Algorithms Inc.” as the fellow’s affiliation. At the bottom of the slide is a teal footer section with a pink arrow on the left side pointing toward the right. Centered in the footer is white text that reads “Full bio: tinyurl.com/DCLFellows.”

I'm also super aware that the lenses in which I view the world in is heavily influenced by the fact that I am Black and a woman. I think the intersectionality is honestly very helpful (though it's a struggle).

The further you are from the margins the further you are from the truth imo ..
Today had its moments but overall it was cool Thursday
It was always that easy
Steering from that list means settling for less and I deserve so much more than that
I’m never steering from my nonnegotiable list again

Lackluster compliments when you've really put in time and effort are such a letdown.

Yes. Jealousy is the fear of loss triggering other emotions like anger or sadness.

People think that jealousy is synonyms with envy but it isn't. Envy isn't fear driven. I don't struggle with envy hardly ever but I do struggle keeping jealous feelings in check.
6. do you get jealous easily?

What one person won’t do, another one will.
Cause if say you should’ve been the one to trade places with my sister then I’m taking it too far
I refrain from saying certain things to people cause I know I’ll be disrespectful about it

The Congressional Black Caucus’s silent partnership with AIPAC

www.thenation.com/article/soci...
Yet to this day, the Congressional Black Caucus—the long-standing corps of lawmakers dedicated to safeguarding civil rights (and known as “the conscience of Congress”)—has not issued a formal declaration condemning Israel; it hasn’t even produced a statement calling for a ceasefire. The CBC’s silence isn’t accidental: More than half of its current 61 members have been endorsed or funded by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the powerful US lobbying arm for Israel’s agenda. In the 2023–24 election cycle alone, AIPAC endorsed 26 of the caucus’s members, raising $4.6 million for them and another $3.5 million for Black Democratic candidates.
