Kim is such a bad actress! the guy playing her husband is pulling out all the stops in their divorce hearing scene, and I have no clue what she's feeling or what mood we've shifted to because she doesn't know how to surface it on her face.

the thing about Kim is that you can respect the work ethic and still wish it was directed at things that didn't make the world worse.

I think it’s pretty clear at this point that one of the main impacts of LLMs is to disrupt thinking: to make it so that far too many people never properly learn how to do it, and then to control the output so there are thoughts that people never learn how to think.

we already know being rich makes you more selfish, but I also thinking having less makes you more generous. not generous in relation to rich people, but in relation to yourself.

well I guess "weirdly rude and crass fat kid with a cruel nickname" is as much an 80s trope as everything else in Stranger Things.

The two work in tandem to create a terrible synergy: people will believe images/video they want to believe while disregarding those they don't.

Congratulations to humanity for building a cognitive bias confirmation machine. 🥳
sorta coming around to the view that the social danger of genAI images is less that they'll make people believe fabricated things are real and more that they'll make people believe real things are fabricated
