Honestly without that sequel announcement last May, I’m not sure the fandom would still be going strong today, so it was smart. I feel like this is the announcement we would’ve gotten if they didn’t do the fan screening, which imo was put together fairly quickly to piggyback off the FYC event.

The only reason why I saw this news in a timely manner was a coworker asking if I’d seen his text, so I looked at my phone and instead I saw @norcalk.bsky.social had texted me THIS (bless you friend) so I told said coworker, “I’m sorry I can’t talk right now”
