I'm coming from an Ingres background where by default a PK means a clustered index as well. Thanks!
Thanks for answering! I see.
So what is considered a clustered index under Oracle?
@connormcd.bsky.social Hi Connor. I have a question about the underlying table structure Oracle uses. When I create a table without a PK, is the table heap? Then, when I add a PK is there a btree index created and the table structure reshuffled as btree? I assume that Oracle uses btree indexes?

Cold starts and slow startup still hurt #Java in the cloud. #GraalVM Native Image can fix that. In this new tutorial, @cat-edelveis.bsky.social shows how to build #SpringBoot apps as native executables, compare distributions, and deal with common pitfalls. Watch here: youtu.be/ruFTMi-SPHY
Fortunately for me I said Hi together with the request 😎
What should be used instead?
@thatjeffsmith.com 2/2 is Docker, and if yes should I use docker desktop or podman? Or, can I get a free instance online on Oracle cloud? But that would probably require transferring ddl scripts and sample data server side. What do you think?
@thatjeffsmith.com 1/2 Hi Jeff. I'm starting an advanced Oracle seminar next week, and it requires to install Oracle 19c on my desktop pc(windows), something I'm not fond of. What is the easiest alternative way?
