Ange Postecoglou was a fascinating football manager. He was perhaps an even more interesting communicator.

Read below the thoughts of a Spurs fan basking in the glory of his success, and a communications professional mourning his loss.

The Premier League has lost its greatest communicator and headline maker in 20 years
When Ange Postecoglou was appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur in June 2023, Spurs fans were quickly taken in by his incredible communication style - clinging on to every word. As a Spurs fan, it wa...

A player at a Premier League club has been accused of sexual assault by four different women and has carried on playing.

We can't name him for legal reasons.

“It’s a systemic failure,” says Nazir Afzal, the former Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England.

A Premier League player is representing his club despite facing accusations of sexual violence. And nobody can talk or do anything about it.

Fulham (A) - FT thoughts
We cannot keep doing this for the rest of the season, there are people paying hundreds of pounds to go and watch this tripe and we all - but especially they - deserve better.

Ange is a top bloke & I wanted him to succeed because of that + the dream of what Ange ball is. I also really hope he succeeds elsewhere if he does move on.

But I also think we’re flogging a dead horse now. The project is well set with the right appointment + a few additions.

Gen Z think UK is racist and would not fight for their country.

Interesting to see such a strong anti-UK/British perspective from a plethora of the most educated / well-read generation.

That might just be that for Angelos. Honestly no longer sure how I feel about it/him. What a stupid ‘football club’ (their words, not mine)! #thfc 😔
February 9, 2025 at 7:31 PM
Biggest concern for #thfc at the moment is how easy it is to get through this midfield. And that’s been done by far less dynamic teams than Villa.

Given we’ve won at Anfield once in a billion years, their incredible side & form + our list of absentees, this was an uphill task...and then some.

But that feels like such a limp way to go out - & such a shame in what could’ve been an even final. Two more cups to play for… #thfc

If (as reported) further signings are unlikely, this is probably the last straw for ENIC with a huge portion of the fan base.

They should’ve had numerous deals ready to hit go on during the first week of January. It’s hard to argue that this is anything but an act of utter negligence. #thfc
A little look at Tottenham training today with a new injury scare, some returning faces including one or two who probably won't play, plenty of youngsters and so many missing senior stars. There could be 14 unavailable Spurs players tomorrow. www.football.london/tottenham-ho...

Tottenham are drifting towards disaster. Someone needs to take control and save their season before it’s too late.

Anyways, if we’re honest about things, we actually won the game the moment they sang that absolute embarrassment of a song before kick off. We’ll never be them and that is the greatest blessing the universe can gift a human. What a weird little culture brand they are.
