#writingprompt I have a fight scene in The Messenger that my editor/alpha reader absolutely hates and I won't get rid of it, nope.
There are probably a few scenes in American Buddha of Jim putzing around or me trying to do spooky foreshadowing that I could cut, but I'm not sure yet.

Something is draining my computer's battery and I can't figure out what it is. I've looked in task manager and don't see anything that is taking up too much cpu that wasn't there before this started happening. Used to be able to use my laptop for 5 hours at a time, now it's down to 2, if that.

It's been a really good writing year for me. I finished my first (non fanfiction) book. I had a couple of short stories published, including one in a real print magazine, with the cover art clearly referencing my story! That's an ego boost.
