Disclaimer: Still riffing on this idea, focused on desktop interaction with a mouse. Not fully accessible yet.
Changes:
✅ Card prioritization within a category
✅ Drop anywhere in a category
✅ Ability to leave some cards uncategorized
✅ Fixed an issue with the randomization of cards

Up next:
🔲 Adding your own cards
🔲 Cards in multiple categories
This is why I love working on the web. Yesterday, I posted about a small app I made to solve a problem. People used it and gave a bunch of feedback. That feedback is now incorporated! 🚀

Kick the tires on the new updates:

Started coding a UX testing idea I've had rolling around my head for a while. It starts with a card sort, but then rolls into much more. I can't wait to demo the rest 😀

It will be fun to show the results 😛

Bluesky has some of the most consistent and best examples of alt text usage on posts. 💛
A SIMPLE GUIDE TO PROVIDING USEFUL ALT ON BLUESKY

1/ ALT's sole function on Bluesky is to provide an autonomous & as fully equivalent an experience of an image as possible for the blind/VI & neurodivergent

If you can see it & read it, I should be able to feel or hear it without leaving Bluesky

Didn't have a running goal this year, but with three days left and with 1,100 miles in sight, the goal has been realized 😊 Heading out before the rain. 🏃

Chrome is now supported 🚀

Social visual alt text extension with Bluesky support!

Visually see the alternative text for images/GIFs without clicking the "ALT" label. #accessibility
Social visual alt text browser extension is now live on Firefox 🚀 addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo...

This extension exposes the alt text (or lack of it) directly in the timeline instead of having to click the "alt" badge on an image.

New to @bsky.app? We’ve got some etiquette just for you!

Turn on the little feature that reminds you to post alt text with your images. Alt text allows blind and partially sighted people to understand what's in your images using screen readers. Without alt text, it just says "image".
