I know @vandygirl1998.bsky.social met with him recently-ish

Yeah I think that's also a big issue with having a cap is then you have to do a lot of annoying policing of it.
February 3, 2026 at 9:15 PM
The NHL cap is fun with the whole counting salary by day deal.
February 3, 2026 at 9:11 PM
Read this nonsense and tell me you really want MLB to have a salary cap? You want to learn what the hell a TPE or MLE is?
This deal as reported would get the Timberwolves under the first apron, which would likely be a precursor to a second, larger deal that requires them to either

1) use the NAW TPE of $7.58M, or BAE/TP MLE in a trade
2) take back more than 100% of outgoing salary

PlutoTV has an OG Iron Chef channel. The one thing the American version stripped away was the intricately long backstories about the contestants. The pacing is very different.

It's either that or the thing where it tries to solve the prompt as written and has no ability to tell you your question is stupid and there's a much easier answer

I think they'll want to try moving Crews to CF to maximize his value, but it's hard to say with an entirely new org.
February 2, 2026 at 4:15 PM
That's fair but moving him and García is the easiest way for them to improve defensively. Crews will probably be decent in CF but will almost certainly be a step down from Young. Catcher could also improve but that wasn't necessarily Ford's strong suit.
February 2, 2026 at 4:10 PM
Nats are probably right although we have to see the actual confirmation that Abrams and García are being moved since they never acquired a shortstop to make it obvious
February 2, 2026 at 3:55 PM
Is this in terms of offseason moves or 2025 vs 2024?
February 2, 2026 at 3:51 PM
The same way Biff made all of his money
February 2, 2026 at 2:57 PM
Good/bad news I'm pretty sure Fleury refuses to play for the Caps

The nice thing about getting so many lottery tickets is it'll give us a big pool of players to track whether the revamped player development system is working.

It is pretty annoying to watch even if it's probably the right strategy

The problem is he does not have a lot of other levers to pull since the draft already happened and they don't believe the young players they have on the roster are worth building around which after their August and September is probably true.

So funny that everyone knows Mr. Policeman but absolutely nobody knows the movie it's from

Second thought was "oh yeah they used to have near capacity crowds on random Saturdays in the summer"

Nats Classic is Max Scherzer's 28 out perfect game and there's no better evidence that baseball is a team sport than remembering the seasons Scherzer and Harper had for a team that didn't come close to the playoffs.
January 29, 2026 at 2:45 AM
Everything I read about MTG sounds like Wizards of the Coast was shocked anyone was trying to play the game.
January 29, 2026 at 12:46 AM
I can't decide whether having Abrams play a different position with the Nats this year is a good idea for his trade value or bad if he proves to be poor at the new position too. At least now he's all potential.
