I think it's actually mostly a teacher to student ratio issue. Elementary schools are like 25-30:1, under 4s are closer to 6:1 max (I believe Virginia requires 4:1 for infants). So you have about 50 kids paying $500 a week which quickly disappears with needing around 13-14 staff members minimum.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they are canvassing potential investors and keep switching their strategy to what the latest investor asks
