The center left is fighting a two front war all the time and they ALWAYS think it’s a good idea to do so. No football team says, “hey, why don’t we send our defense on the field too so that our 11-man offense plays against 22 defenders? cuz offense and defense aren't the same tribe!”
It clearly illustrates the center left views their own tribe as distinct, while the populace at large (both the left and the right) do not recognize that distinction. The center left is so focused on excluding EVERYONE that they don’t know who their allies are, nor know who their enemies are!
I had the weirdest uncanny valley experiences reading Snow Crash in like 2009, i had thought it was a relatively recent book and I kept thinking throughout “this is so brilliant, it’s like an alternate history projection of the worst the internet could have become.” Now it feels scary accurate.

Phenomenal and I agree. And astonishing the democrats persist in following this strategy when both Trump and Obama have recently shown the same outcome (winning). of pursuing a strategy that changes the composition of the electorate by mobilizing non participants into participants.

It’s not even this. The Dem consultants are _Bored_ with abortion as a campaign issue they’re “forced” to focus on & they don’t want to “waste any more time“ on it. And they‘re blind to their own boredom as the cause of their disdain and rationalize nonsense to abandon abortion as an issue.
