Gonna be real, I don't like the term "friendslop." It devalues the legitimate work that indie devs put into their games, and it blatantly ignores the emergent gameplay that stems from a highly social experience.

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

In Super Mario Sunshine, Shadow Mario's voice is created by applying a filter to Mario's voice; however, he does not use all of Mario's voice clips. By making Mario himself use the filter, we can finally hear Shadow Mario say things like "MAMA hoohahoo wow wow" and "The horror".

Sneakers is the best hacker movie from the 90s (sorry Hackers and The Matrix). A fantastic ensemble cast with great chemistry, and except for a few little hand-waves it feels like the computer stuff is realistic. No CSI zoom and enhance bullshit.
