We should be aiming for a solution that will last. Not just yo-yoing Supreme Court rulings every few years.

But that would just set off a race where both parties are packing the court. So Citizens United would just get reinstated. That's not a sustainable solution.

So you're saying that the Constitution doesn't matter anymore.

If you think the Constitution doesn't matter, why even bother adding Supreme Court justices? You're basically saying we should just ignore Court rulings anyway.

That means Trump could also pack the Court now if he wanted to. So in your vision, both parties would just keep adding justices to the Court every time they got into power. That's not sustainable.

Citizens' United is a Supreme Court decision that overturned campaign finance laws as unconstitutional. So you can't overturn it just by passing a law. That's why it's such a huge problem.
