While things were relatively quiet in NA this year, Asia got hit hard.
'The climate crisis supercharged the deadly storms that killed more than 1,750 people in Asia by making downpours more intense & flooding worse, scientists reported. Monsoon rains often bring some flooding but the scientists were clear: this was “not normal”.'

Yes direct to video has always been a thing.

No it was not as ubiquitous or in your face unavoidable as it is now.

Writing quality has significantly declined.
Thinking about this you really have to factor in how distribution has changed. In the old days, all the 'filler' material pretty much only had an audience at the video store. Now, that tier of content is sold as filler to streamers.

There's more crap than ever nowadays.

They call it 'content' and shovel it out as quickly as possible.

I see the US Govt is fully embracing collapse. Pedal to the metal!
The US is saying the quiet parts out loud..

'We reject the disastrous “climate change” and “Net Zero” ideologies'

'Expanding our net energy exports will also deepen relationships with allies [..] and enables us to project power.'

Is this the 'ally' Europe wants to depend on for its energy supply?

We're at the 'states openly gerrymandering in competition' stage of socio-political collapse. They used to at least try to hide this.

When climate reality threatens profit, honesty is the first thing to go. Biodiversity and human health are always next.

Zillow didn’t remove climate risk because it was wrong…..they removed it because it was true.
