Reading Blackwater, thinking about Blackwater. At this point, it reminds me of East of Eden and House of the Spirits and I'm going to call it magic realism. If this gets a tv show, the cast will better be epic. Once again, my small town upbringing in a huge clan makes a lot of this quite familiar

Our 2 new foster cats have been hiding behind the sofa for a week, only venturing out to do the necessary when they are alone in the room, It's been a struggle to give them the (needed) flea medication. Finally, one had it last night. We'll be able to let them roam soon.
