The commentary by those right of centre and pile on the PM would lead one to think that Australia is not a secular nation. It is worth remembering that it is very much that and with freedom to worship as one wishes.

Personal, possibly unpopular opinion. The day of reflection event at Bondi is unsettling for me at least. It is right to mark the moment but it feels like a stage managed production for the State of Israel.

My home city of Sydney is heart broken. To those who lost their lives one cannot comprehend why this came to you today. The injured and all families, prayers are sent. To that man who tackled one gunman. Unbelievable bravery.

As a 60 year am able to look after myself. My IG is full of sport, cars and politics. Made a comment admonishing posters who were using gross language referring to a state politician and her looks. The resulting vitriol was unpleasant. SM can be a force for good but also intense abuse.
