If you're struggling with weight painting I recommend practicing with low poly models. When you only have a few vertices to deal with it helps you clearly see exactly what you're trying to do to match the human body.

When you go back to higher poly meshes you'll realize nothing is really different

work in progress artwork. the text says something along the lines of "whenever the player is hit, they will get knocked back from impact. in fact they could even get an unfortunate combo of getting hit by a monster then landing on spikes. such injuries on site is not covered by your workplaces insurances. so, for the safety of players wellbeing (and their wallets from scary expensive healthcare system), let's dodge the hazards well!"

Just so it's clear. It's not allowing AI because it's trying to create a clean dataset for training AI. It's not because any of the involved parties actually care about human created art.

Demons can lie to you. You have to rebuke them categorically, rather than fold when they say the right words.

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).
Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
