So now we redraw the maps every time Washington D.C. wants to dodge accountability?

That’s a violation of the separation of powers. It silences voters, weakens democracy, and undermines our elections.

Tell D.C.: No. Enough is enough.
Rain doesn’t stop Dallas from showing up for Democracy. #NoKingsDay #txlege

The discussion spotlighted the work happening at the state level to support and strengthen our growing Dallas region.

Thank you to the Oak Cliff Chamber for convening this summit, and to JBJ Management for sponsoring. #TXLege #SD16
A full house at this year’s Oak Cliff Chamber Legislative Summit — Team Johnson, neighbors, community leaders, and business leaders gathered under one roof to hear Senator Royce West, Rep. Venton Jones, and Rep. Jessica González on a panel moderated by Dallas Councilmember Zarin Gracey.
NiHao Food Bank Initiative's work goes beyond food distribution. It’s about consistent leadership and action in addressing hunger, building a foundation that lasts.

When community and music come together, real change happens.

That’s a wrap on the 2nd Annual RMA/NiHao Food Bank Initiative Charity Concert, raising nearly 58,000 meals for North Texas — almost twice what we raised last year.

Trump’s deployment of troops to Oregon is no more respectful of our troops than it is of the Americans he’s using the troops to intimidate. #txlege
Go ahead, roll the usual bot-driven torrent about Trump’s martial law being about law and order. Nonsense. It’s authoritarian order without the law.
Democratic AGs from 24 states and the District of Columbia did their job. Republican AGs didn’t. But Ken is darn well gonna make sure that your kid’s geometry class has a 10 Commandments poster in the right font. Thanks Ken. Way to support the schools.
Stupid doesn’t have to be partisan; sometimes they just make it that way. Not a single Republican Attorney General joined the litigation against the Trump administration for unconstitutionally interfering with the power of the legislative branch AND WITHHOLDING OUR MONEY!
Instead of suing the Trump administration for withholding around $700M of appropriated education funding from our public schools, Ken Paxton sends scary letters to school districts telling them to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom (patently unconstitutional).
This milestone was made possible in part by SB 2181 (87R) — bipartisan legislation authored by my good friends Sen. Royce West and Rep. Rafael Anchía, which I was proud to support. #TXLege #SD16
Celebrating a Dallas Treasure! Team Johnson joined city leaders and neighbors to cut the ribbon on the newly renovated Cotton Bowl Stadium, which first opened in 1930.

The $140 million investment delivers state-of-the-art upgrades while preserving the history and character of the landmark.
Seventeen amendments. One ballot.

Early voting kicks off October 20th — are you #VoteReady?

Please join me in congratulating Micah Dieterle, who has been selected as the Senate District 16 recipient of the 2025–26 Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program (TASSP).

I’m honored to recognize his hard work and wish him continued success in all his future endeavors. #TXLege #SD16
Congratulations to my good friend Willis Johnson and the entire JBJ Management team on their 30th anniversary!

I'm honored to join our Dallas community in celebrating this milestone with a resolution recognizing the JBJ team’s lasting contributions. #TXLege #SD16
Well, I was going to file a complaint with the Office of Special Counsel, about HUD and other federal agencies flagrantly violating the Hatch Act and the 1st Amendment by posting Republican wing-nut propaganda on a taxpayer-funded official government web sites, but…
Jaw-dropping illegal activity by HUD, violating Hatch Act and First Amendment: using federal taxpayer funded website for ideological purposes. This is not okay, and not of small significance. #txlege
