As someone who has covered the Tina Peters mess a whole bunch, I’d just like to point out that, unless Polis and the state directly step in, this pardon isn’t actually a pardon. This is sort of like Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy in “The Office.” Simply saying it doesn’t make it so.
NEW: President Donald Trump says he is granting a pardon to Tina Peters, who was convicted on state charges related to tampering with Colorado's election systems. Legal experts say presidential pardons do not apply to state charges.

As someone who has covered the Tina Peters mess a whole bunch, I’d just like to point out that, unless Polis and the state directly step in, this pardon isn’t actually a pardon. This is sort of like Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy in “The Office.” Simply saying it doesn’t make it so.

Say what you will about Sean Payton’s playcalling today and the dismal offensive play (namely dismal running game); that defense was OUTSTANDING today for Denver. Holding an NFL team to 82 total yards is insane. Nine sacks in one game is insane. Those guys had a near perfect day.

My fiancé, who cares not at all for sports, decided she wants to root for an NFL team this season and also be able to troll me about the Broncos, so she drew out 27 teams on little pieces of paper (for various reasons she excluded five teams) and drew from a jar until one was left. Behold this art

It is absolutely scandalous that the FBI had no insight into or idea about the suspect and the only reason he’s been caught is because the dude just couldn’t shut up. They detained two people who had nothing to do with it and just got lucky that someone confessed on their own accord.
The suspect, Tyler Robinson, allegedly confessed to the shooting to a family member, who told a family friend, who, in turn, reached out to authorities, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said. wapo.st/4mVlKLL
