Also, on this day in 1967, the Seattle Supersonics debut experienced a loss to the San Francisco Warriors. Today, the Sonics are now "The Oklahoma City Thunder," and the Warriors are labeled" Golden State Warriors." We need an NBA team back in Seattle!

Good morning; On this day in 1967, the American Basketball Association held its first game in Oakland, Ca. The game was played with a red, white, and blue striped ball, and the 3 point shot line was featured as well. The league didn't last long as 4 of the teams merged with the NBA eventually.

Good morning. On this day in 1979, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson play their 1st NBA games. It was also the 1st inception of the 3 point shooting line in which Boston's Chris Ford sinks the 1st 3 pointer.
