he's so mean!!!! for me it might have been the disgraced chef. that was nearly unbearable

never doubt the toolless boss run
nataliewatson.bsky.social
me today: im actually having so much fun with silksong. i am rewarded by my patience and defensive playstyle. i am one with the bug.

the forum gauntlet in high halls:
nataliewatson.bsky.social
anyway i am loving this game. it's frustrating as hell at times but feeling like a beginner again and mastering something new has been very rewarding. in hk i feel i barely scratched the surface of different builds for different circumstances and here i get so much more expression in my play. fun!!!

i also think that the shard economy isn't exactly sustainable for boss runs (not a critique tbc). burning a hundred shards on a failed run is brutal. by unequiping tools and just forcing myself to play defensive im able to internalize attack patterns much more consistently
nataliewatson.bsky.social
i find that tools are usually more helpful to me in gauntlets or in general exploration

i think that when i go into a boss and i'm too focused on when to deploy my tools, it distracts me from reading attack indicators and i get punished for it (especially with the frequency of 2 damage attacks)
nataliewatson.bsky.social
every single time i have struggled with a boss in silksong (im talking at least 20+ runs failed) i decide to do a toolless run and every single time i beat them

this has worked for some of the hardest bosses i've faced: phantom, last judge, the disgraced chef

“Marissa Marcel was a film star. She made three movies. But none of the movies were ever released. And Marissa Marcel disappeared.”

Finally got some of the extra goodies framed from @lostincult.co.uk’s Immortality Design Works. An extremely special game and an experience playing I’ll never forget.

New Side Story. The actual post on the website (linked) has very important visual information for a very tortured metaphor I was trying to make about Endless Legend 2's muddiness compared to the crispness of the first.

i find it really disappointing that THE SMASHING MACHINE performed so poorly this past weekend. i think it's a remarkable film and without a doubt, the rock as mark kerr is a performance to be witnessed

Dwayne Johnson speaks out on ‘THE SMASHING MACHINE’ being the lowest grossing opening weekend of his career:

“In our storytelling world, you can’t control box office results — but what I realized you can control is your performance, your commitment to disappear & go elsewhere”
