Years ago when I called a NYT reporter to urge him to cover a large gathering of veterans testifying about their experiences in Iraq & Afghanistan, he replied with withering scorn, "If you read the New York Times, you would know that it doesn't cover protests." Well, that certainly informed me!
Does this remind anyone else of "Spinal Tap"?

I'm not sure what to make of reports that #Trump is apparently less bombastic and antagonistic in person than when performing www.nytimes.com/2025/09/24/u...

So long Only Murders in the Building, alas. Just cancelled my subscription to Hulu to protest the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel. Hulu's owned by cowardly Disney & enough is ... more than enough. A small gesture but small acts add up & grow. Join me?
Or worse, when they're called "deals," reinforcing the idea that's the only kind of transaction there is.

What if the news media agreed to stop calling these Ivy League deals “settlements” and just said, you know, “Cornell has agreed to pay $100 million in extortion money.”

To bomb Iran the US deployed 7 B2 bombers, each of which cost $2.1B to build. They used 14 huge “bunker busters,” a model that cost $500 million to develop.

The US invested ~ $15 billion in this attack—almost 50% more than it invested in affordable housing construction this year.
Smart researchers ought to be able to find out people behind #CanaryMission, no? Several years ago, a journalism student I know did a long story on them & I vaguely recall that they got in touch with someone there.
Old man Donald saw a swarm
E-I-E-I-O
With a radical here
And a leftist there
Here a rad
There a left
Under every rock
Find a radical leftist

Join us at 5:30 tonight at Powder House Square Park as we stand up for Rumeysa Ozturk, a PhD Tufts grad worker and Fulbright scholar, who was ambushed by ICE agents on her way to an Iftar dinner with friends after leaving her apartment.
What's with the #NYTimes making readers "request" opening comments on many stories?
It is happening here right now and we must find an effective way to stop the #cabal of #bootlickers, #incompetents & black-hearted #liars Following #GeneSharp, we can withdraw our cooperation and mount a general #strike.
Anyone else notice how many #full-page ads in Sunday's #NYT either attacking #Trump & his lickspittles or responding to his regime's slash & smash policies? In the print edition & counted 6! Definitely not the usual.

The Washpost, which is bleeding millions of dollars and shrinking its staff, accepted -- and then rejected -- a $115,000 ad that criticized Elon Musk.

Anyway, here's the ad that the Post's business side didn't want its readers to see ⤵️
