printed out a bunch of rectangular prism templates for the kids to decorate. theyll glue em together and stick them onto a flat sheet of paper that they'll have drawn and colored into a street map. so itll look like little miniature towns :D

ive gone from being a person who cares about all the problems of everyone around me to someone who is. not that. im not sure what exactly my emotional boundaries rn are. i do know i dislike it when total strangers trauma dump on me. i used to find it fascinating (probably unhealthy on my part)

This is something I and my fellow hyper literate types have a really hard time grasping. It’s frustrating to think you’re being really clear in writing, but still get wildly misunderstood because you’ve overestimated people’s literacy level.

People don't understand what is meant by "literacy" and the "literacy crisis".
Literacy isn't just not being able to physically read. Many people know how to see words and say words, which is basic reading. Literacy is being able to infer the correct information from what you read.

sometimes if you've been drawing a character for uhhhhh 20 years like a normal person (lol) i find it fun/helpful to revisit them from a pure, like, structure & landmark "fresh" sense,

It’s been said before but a lot of people are fundamentally intellectually lazy and any divergence in behavior or neurotype no matter how harmless should be crushed, so they can keep coasting through interactions

Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone.
I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.
