mizkif being a paranoid sociopathic narcissist has been a giant open secret in the streamer world. so awful
there's a big distinction about humility vs admiration for others. you can have a big ego, while praising the people around you, which is a weird paradox that i didn't know how to articulate before
my opinion is if you think AI music does parts of your job better than you can, then you werent very good in the first place. which is okay!
looks like such a cute spot!
nervous about my GSC talk. hoping i can take casual/personable approach and it's still helpful
i'm also speaking on anoootherrr panel during GameSoundCon week! hosted by berklee alumni and interleave audio this time
you're so sweet, thank you zevik!
only a couple more weeks until my GameSoundCon talk! it's a short 30 minute microtalk about music design, discussing all pros to having a music designer early and other cool lil bits
stained my table today, i kinda think alder looks funny like this but it's my first finishing attempt! spent a lot of time with detail sanding and filling in gaps with the oil finish
wow looks lovely! thank you! i hope i can get alder to darken like this with some mixing or maybe a 2nd coat
thank you! i am super interested in a monocoat, have you had luck using rubio or natura one or something like that?
my favorite keyboard ever
dysfunctional and unreliable leadership!
thanks dude, i am grateful i got laid off but just as angry about how much bullshit they put us through 😅 maybe even more angry now hahahaha
"dishonest," "low confidence," and "gummy worm for a spine" pretty much sums them up. we were treated like children; spoken down to, expected to accept everything without question, and discouraged from making even basic logical inferences
it's a culture that thrives off of naiveté and confusing explanations. TL;DR if something doesn't make sense, it's probably because they're lying to you and hoping you dont give a fuck. that shit is rotten to the core
what do i value? transparency. i value a level of honesty and candor that that company did not have. instead we were met with lies, omissions, half truths, half-baked answers and confusion. not surprised the company is struggling - that type of culture has fully penetrated the studio
i was honestly pretty traumatized when bungie laid off my audio director without a word, and then leadership pulled us all into a meeting to talk about how his role wasn't needed anymore. over 2 years ago at this point and i was very upset the whole time
i was planning on staining this table with a darker finish like walnut....what do u guys think? kinda digging how it looks rn, this is my tea tray and matcha shelf on top
