Moving cross country has typically been one unexpected challenge after another (typically on emotional autopilot) but today I realized I can’t pack my flatbed scanner in my carry on and I’m so devo 😞

This is something I’m trying to avoid doing, because it really doesn’t help. It’s also one of the reasons grifters and clout chasers have been thriving. I get that it’s part of people processing and trying to make sense of things. I’ve done it in the past. It’s not a useful pattern of behavior.

The other problem with the media being so compromised is it leaves us trying to make sense of what’s happening by way of a bajillion panicked people on social media adding desperate theorycrafting and assumptions to every fact about what’s happening.
