Unarmed by-stander, Ahmed el Ahmed, a fruit shop owner challenged & took the gun from one of gunman in the Bondi Beach terrorist attack. He went to hospital after being shot in the leg & shoulder by another gunman. Doctors have told his family that he should be OK

Cannot overstate how much joy real flame candles give me- the light is so warm and soft and fits perfectly with the slow vibes of late autumn evenings. We rarely used them at home but it's easy to find inexpensive unscented ones of all styles so I can have them all the time!!

Doing my damnedest to get these socks finished in time to put them in my kiddo's stocking on the night of the 5th (Nikolaustag) because he outgrew the last pair, and I find the idea of him getting socks in his sock funny.

On Friday I got my results for my citizenship exam, and on Saturday I served this masterpiece to friends- guess which I was most proud of? (Homemade jellied cranberry sauce; I used an empty aluminum can as a mold)

Thanksgiving isn't a thing in Germany, but Americans gonna American- "Friendsgiving" is very common in the US immigrant circles, including folks from all over. Getting to share something like this when everything else coming out of my home country is awful keeps me from slipping into despair.

Husband and I saved watching Murderbot Diaries on appleTV until we could binge it whilst knitting and go absolutely feral. 13/10 recommended- along with reading the books! Our sole complaint was that there wasn't ENOUGH of it, but season two was approved!

I am a planner. I research, make a plan, & make contingency plans. Today did not go to plan. I woke up at 0224 in a full blown anxiety attack. I struggled to finish my packing, to get dressed. I ended up behind schedule and still existing in that anxious space. I ended up blowing through 1/3

On Tuesdays Drew has Lego Robotics Club, so I sit in the community center and knit. Today an older lady said she'd noticed me knitting each week and invited me to join their Strickcafé- integration is going well.
