I'm having friends over on Saturday for a slightly belated Thanksgiving Harvest feast including smoked venison and smoked trout, corn fritters, maple glazed ham, sweet potatoes in a lime and birch bark syrup, and a salad with cranberry Stilton cheese in a chili and mango dressing.

My wee homemade Thanksgiving wreath and Thanksgiving garland are my nod to the special day that's just another work day here! I also cooked up a pot of wild rice, for my Native American inspired wild rice and turkey salad with pine nuts and dried cranberries.

What a statement this is on behalf of the universities. If you think about it, they're basically saying that they think their degrees are worthless, will probably not lead to higher wages, so they're going to have to start clawing money back from graduates as soon as they tip over minimum wage.
"The Office for Budget Responsibility forecasts the NMW will rise to about £28,995 by 2030 — or approximately £400 lower than the frozen student loan repayment threshold." on.ft.com/4p2hyL4
