Editor/Proofreader: accepting new clients. Author: MALAWI'S SISTERS. THE COLOR OF MY SOUL. LET NO ONE WEEP FOR ME.
Aww, thanks so much, Jenny!🤗
After letting the inaugural winner of the Kimbilio National Fiction Prize sit in my TBR for far too long, I just consumed @mshatter.bsky.social’s MALAWI’S SISTERS. It’s a powerful, affecting story of the fallout from the shooting death of a young Black woman; Malawi & her family will stay with you.

👇 Worth a listen...
"On Tyranny" is a #1 NYT bestseller again. I wish the moment were different. But I’m glad the book is useful. And grateful for all the kind words about putting the 20 lessons to work.

I'm so thrilled for this! Art is always needed, but especially in the years to come. Thanks to the Washington City Paper and @writesloud.bsky.social
I've spent a lot of 2024 feeling hopeless about writing and its future. Then I was all, "Fuck that" and pitched a column to City Paper.

So here we go. Let's fight for the art we love. ❤️

Sad, but so true!
A lot of people think everything will work out if we just play by the rules but don’t seem to recognize that rules only matter when everyone agrees to follow them and, well, that isn’t our present reality.

Writing: Remember, inside each of us is a story or a beginning of a story. We just need to learn to let it out in a way that's readable. Trust your story. Trust yourself. #amwriting #amediting Enjoy the creating. Write. #author
