Check to see if your books were stolen and get in on that lawsuit. I'm going to be involved in the Canadian class action since they used 5 of my books (that I know of).
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

I became a fan of the Canucks in high school. 93/94 season. The seasons after that were dumpster fires, but nothing - NOTHING - compares to what is happening now.

The biggest difference is people are still attending. Back then, half empty lower bowl. Do that again. Stop giving them your money.

Being a Canucks fan is a special kind of pain.

Just skipping around the internet and found out there's an NFL player named Amon-Ra St. Brown which is the most bad ass name ever.

This book I’m reading just turned from a suspense to a supernatural horror and I am pissed.

It is so disgusting out right now. A real November day.

Starting my rewatch of Stranger Things in preparation for S5!

Ugh I had to change my light to come on at 4 instead of 5.

The amount of stress I feel watching the Blue Jays is making me realize that I will NOT be able to handle the Canucks in the same position again. I literally can't watch sometimes because it makes me feel so uncomfortable.

For some reason, whenever I hear the name Attila the Hun, I picture Jabba the Hut.

... yeah.

7 trick or treaters total, which is one more than last year and it wasn't raining last year.

Two trick-or-treaters!!

It is so gross and wet outside. We usually get about 5-6 kids, most we ever got was 20-something. This may be the year we get none.

I planted my garlic the other day and the soil was fairly wet, so I'm glad it dried out a bit. With tomorrow looking at maybe 100mm of rain where I am, I tarped the bed up to keep them from drowning.

So I've had this small town romance series idea in my head for awhile, and I just found a way to connect it to the YA/NA series I'm writing. I can't help myself from connecting all my story worlds. #Writing

Met with our landscape guy to plan for tree pruning, hedge pruning and soil delivery for next year. I still need to get my garlic into the ground! (it's been way too wet since I got the box ready)

So we switched from Hydro's tier pricing to flat rate time-of-day which means 4-9pm extra cost and 11pm-7am discount (electric fan heaters, so it should help overnight heating costs). Tier pricing was SO dumb for us since outside of summer we were always in tier 2 early.

Got my new laptop battery, installed it myself, and it works!
October 23, 2025 at 7:33 PM
In other news, I ordered this adorable little laptop tool kit, got into my laptop and can now buy a replacement battery to install myself. It'll be nice to have a) a functioning battery and b) one that also lasts more than an hour (my battery had been dying awhile and didn't hold a charge long).

I'm having a hard time getting into this Riley Sager book I'm reading, and I'm not sure why. #AmReading #Books

My laptop battery has kicked the bucket and now the laptop only works on AC adapter. I guess 3 years of use every day is the limit. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should open it up to see the battery specs and attempt to order a replacement and do it myself ...
