@omibell.bsky.social I think it's hard to date after 40 due to men’s desires too. I totally agree with you Omi. I will hire cleaners too. I'm focused on myself, my kids, and building my businesses, and non non-profit etc. I think we should match up in mindset, align in spirituality, goals etc

@omibell.bsky.social as a mom of children who have been bullied and a child with special needs this conversation sounds very unhealthy and toxic. Haven’t we grown enough to know how much beliefs like “make kids tougher are” these are the same harmful beliefs that say “quit being soft to our boys.

@omibell.bsky.social well said caller. We have to do all the things as mom and it's so true our male counterparts aren't building businesses and on constant grind mode. It takes a certain man to jump in and support and be a helpmate to a woman doing all the things.

@omibell.bsky.social it's not necessary in my opinion to sacrifice. I think we teach by example. We can do all the things. I think it's something we have to work. On. You are so right. I've had to put love on backburner too because some men weren't aligned on my focus on building entrepreneurship.

@omibell.bsky.social FACTS! Well said Omi! I thrive at both because it's my goal. You're grind should match my grind! I teach my kids the same. I see us single moms with multiple kids do all the things because we have goals and standards. We balance life and work because of our goals.

@omibell.bsky.social it's sad some of us think it's cute that two or three-year-olds can dance, repeat lyrics from song but they dotn know their colors, numbers or abc’s? Our kids have so much potential. Let's focus on education. Our kids can learn to read at two or three just like they can dance.

@omibell.bsky.social can we please stop blaming electronics for our kids lack of education. We as parents should be educating not expecting schools to do it. Schools prepare kids to work and take tests. Not all schools educate. It's concerning to me that some of our kids know music but can't read.

@omibell.bsky.social well said! I'm single parent whose children thrived. I am the parent of almost three black males who are college educated. All of my children but my youngest who is 12 are in college. We are our kids first educators. Some of the issue is parents expecting school to educate.

@karenhunter.bsky.social it would be good for people to learn about the government benefits they are on too. Many have requirements and you’re right we have to prioritize what’s important. If you are on disability you can only work certain hours. They give nothing for help it’s always a catch.
