Lost the will to live with Shopify.
I have the code to a custom app that is already running in a store, just trying to replicate it on a new dev account and new store and it's like landing a fucking space shuttle. Absolute insanity.

Did you know if you make a Shopify dev store you can't currently delete it? Great, someone should tell Shopify's chatbot that confidently made up some instructions for me.

This is somehow not the first or even the second time I have had to deal with some useless "web protection" product blocking sites seemingly at random, and again the onus is on me to appeal their poor decision.

A long week already (thanks Azure,) then found a nasty bug at 4pm that was snarling things up so I literally had to do the pumpkin scare.
You never feel as alive as watching your deploy happen at 4:55pm Friday praying to god it's ok.

UK traffic to PornHub down 77%.
I wonder - presumably companies are paying for the third party age checks, is there a point where UK traffic goes so low websites that are currently age verifying just abandon it and block the UK altogether?

Just opened the twitter profile for a company from search results, not logged in, was confused they hadn't tweeted since 2021...
No no, the tweets are just not in chronological order. They weren't pinned, they were just random. wtaf.

This feels like such a stupid thing to write but does Postman run on AWS? Failing to load requests etc all morning.
I dislike that this went from a useful standalone desktop app to cloud crap - even in the desktop app.

Did they finally fire the person who was keeping the results pane white in dark mode? Sorry SQL Shades, looks like someone finally listened.

Vodafone outage was surprising. When my home and mobile connections dropped simultaneously I sat back and waited a moment for sirens, car alarms, mobs etc to know how widespread it was.

Back to one of my favourite places today.
This straight as you approach the old station is still my favourite spot, stretching in to infinity flanked by trees. It's a little bit magical.

There's some weird past-future tech going on in War of the Worlds.
Apparently Ice is running Windows 10 on an Athlogn XP 3200+ with an insane memory clock of 8.8GHz on his 64GB of presumably DDR1 memory.

Very cruel to put a thin line on your phone wallpaper, lost count of how many "oh shit is that a crack?" moments I've had today.

New drives have suitably pleased me after a bit of testing, time to start swapping them in... 12 hours per drive doesn't seem horrendous.

Deeply upset by this Night Light toggle in Display settings in Windows 10, which is actually telling you if it's SCHEDULED.
If you have it on all the time like me it will always show as off, and perplexingly turning it on will actually turn Night Light OFF.
