I had a nerve block in my arm so I entertained myself by gently punching myself in the face. In between doses of Oxycodone. There’s a small part of me that loves hospitals. Very small.

I got a new cast on last week. It’s scratchy but so much lighter than the old plaster one. I go back on Tuesday to get the wound checked again.
Last night I went to sleep late but easily. I woke up nine hours later with no cast. It was tucked under my pillow. Spooky sleepwalking shit again 😳🤯🇳🇿

That looks like a paradise shelduck (Pūtangitangi). They grow like weeds. That looks a day or two old.
The ones in the photo are Indian Runner Ducks. Maybe 5-7 days old. They reach adult size in 3-4 weeks. Lovely pets. This is mum and dad. 🪶

Arm is getting a new cast tomorrow which will be an improvement hopefully. I’m struggling with one hand tbh. Leg is doing well. I think a broken wrist has tricked my brain into not sending pain signals to my knee any more. That’s my silver lining. ☁️☁️☁️

One more day till I get a new cast. This one weighs a ton & aches 24/7. Can’t wait to get both hands in order again. This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done to myself. I’m just cruising off to sleep on the final dose of liquid Oxycodone. A pleasantly nostalgic experience. God’s own medicine. ❣️

Wtf did Wayne expect the consultants to tell him? That Councillors like G Wood, J Watson, W Walker would make better decisions than Panuku board members like Steve Evans, David Kennedy & Paul Majurey?
I guess that’s the last commission that Monteith & co are going to get from the Mayor’s office. 😂
