Reason as to why some Notes get to go on the public home page. But sometimes it seems certain notes take off and get a thousands of lakes even when the writer on substack doesn't have that many subscribers. It seems like one of the only ways to grow your substack internally

Well you've been doing it a lot longer than I have and he I'd like to think you've worked out by now! To me it looks like a pretty good way of getting reached to people who don't already subscribe or follow your substack. I picked a few random substack subscribers up that way. I can't work any rhyme

Just had an email from a photo gallery hustling for portfolio reviews. They didn't say they cost anything in the email so I hit them back as if they were free.

I'll let you know what happens.

A little cringe... I thought Matt Stuart was a Magnum Photographer, someone corrected me once it went live. Ha!

It just goes to show how little I pay attention to Magnum these days, which was funnily enough the 2nd point I make in the video.

ugh docking station. I just want to use a microphone not finish the Death Star. Thank you! My old Asus zenbook that was a pancake and 3 x USB ports on it! 3 regular ol' USB ports!

I was trying to plug in my rode microphone to my MacBook Pro. To be plugged in I need to unplug my power cable to the Mac.

I feel like whenever I record on it without power plugged in my audio is delayed.

my rode microphone isn't picked up by my current usb/usb-c multi adapter

I will give it more of a go, but at the moment most knowing Youtubers say not to put out videos till they sort the algoriddim. Everyones views are down, YT simply won't share peoples videos.... This article is good: jayydubya.substack.com/p/youtube-is...

Ha! You gotta respect the hustle though. That said his views are down to half of what they were last year. All the big Youtubes have been hammered by algoriddim changes, they torched evergreen content. So all those 'quality' older videos don't really do half as much as they used to for view count
