To my people holding it down in higher education - thank you. Thank you for continuing on despite threats to our integrity and values. Thank you for providing space for BIPOC students. Thank you for protecting LGBTQIA+ students.

Watching debate on SB 196 - Oceti Sakowin Essential Understandings incorporation in public school curriculum - when the bill was first read, Oceti Sakowin was completely mispronounced. That is the heart of the issue - South Dakota does not know us.
