also: man seth dickinson really loves to write about women making the tough choices and trying to justify their crimes as the right thing.
like at most times I wasn't sure how I would rate it but... it did something to me. Made me really want to dig my teeth in there and just explore everything and think about it even if it at times felt like work and I had to take a break in the middle of the book because I fell in a slump

This was probably the first real hard sci-fi book I read and half of it was just exhausting to get trough because it was so much set up and buildng stuff up. But like the first 20% caught me so good and all the build up paid of in the last 40% ? And the concepts all intrigued me

nearly finished The Monster Baru Cormorant. I'm nervously scrolling social media because I remember the gut punch at the end of the first book so I'm expecting one here too

No matter what you think of the Pokemon video games, the one thing that is undeniable is they have a finger on the pulse of every niche demo target you can think of because every game has like 5 characters+ everyone loses their mind over and becomes a new obsession for large chunks of people.
Is this the perfect woman?
Actually does any of my mutuals / friends want to try to get into magic lore? Omens of Chaos is a standalone YA novel in the magic universe, if someone is interested I would pay for your preorder so I have more people to nerd out with later! (And more preorders means higher chances we get more novel
If we can sell between 5,000 and 10,000 copies of OMENS OF CHAOS, we will debut comfortably on the New York Times Bestseller list, which is a very normal thing for a book to want (and will send a very clear message about what we want as a community). We won't, but a girl can dream.

GM Tip:
Narrate failures through the competence of the PCs against a hazardous world.

They're a skilled thief, but the trap is rusted.
They have a glib tongue, but the guard is already being coerced.
They're strong, but even a giant couldn't lift this portcullis.

One New darksouls inspired ttrpg, a pretty New playmat, some small boardgames, two small adventure/puzzle mystery games and a "bigger" game with art direction that just intrigued me so much
!!! both works, halloween oneshots bei dir immer iconic (rest in piece brennende haare)

I'm into the idea of nihilist bodyhorror dog-coded lesbians piloting nightmare giant robots. I don't know how I'd approach a group about playing it - it's very much not *for* me - but I'm glad it exists anxiousmimicrpgs.itch.io/girl-frame

This was just a fun and easy fantasy read for me. Somethibg that felt easy but engaging, the World building Was simple enough but the mysteries still engaged me. A good read.
