I genuinely believe it is best to enjoy less music. Re-listening to one of my favorite albums will always take priority over discovering new music. Streaming has normalized the over-consumption of music to the point that most people listen to things once and never again.

very similar story for me! I've only ever even seen a few people in real life who I suspected might have tourettes, but no one that I've ever had the chance to like *talk* with about it.

it's an incredibly isolating condition

I keep getting crazy pangs of anxiety every time I'm reminded of this happening, and then immediately all the stress melts away when I remember the performances are already recorded and there's no stress about playing live and that's the whole fucking point

'be still' was written about my struggle living with tourette syndrome and it's not something I talk about much publicly but I wanted to make a quick note of it. it fucking sucks and if you suffer the same fate I do, I'm here for you💚
