he's at a healthy weight now i think, we just have to keep it that way! and we haven't turned the heating on yet so he needs his floof 😁

we're being very careful with treats though because he's gotten a little chubby. he was so thin when we got him from the shelter but he's really plushed up for winter now lol

that sounds like plenty of variety! 🐱 mix of wet and dry is always good. our guy isn't super into churu rolls (weirdo) but he will inhale one of the little cups of cat milk within seconds. and he loves chasing after the regular snack sticks if we break them into pieces and throw them.

oh it's good that she eats it!! hope it helps ❤️ yeah i just thought the article phrased it strangely like "don't give your cat different foods they might enjoy it too much" 😅 nothing wrong with sticking to the same thing if they like and eat it, we did that with our previous cat

like yeah if they hunted their own food there wouldn't be that much variety but it also wouldn't be the same every time and he's an indoor cat so it's another way to add enrichment to his day, he gets excited tail titters when it's time for his favourites 🐱

what they mean is get a good dry and wet food that has everything they need and stick with that, but i like changing it up a little for him every day. he has favourites that we rotate and he always eats, and sometimes i get a variety pack of something new for him to try in between

reading advice on cat food and "your cat actually doesn't need variety, just stick to the same food or they will get used to having exciting new flavours all the time" is just making me sad. why shouldn't my little guy get to be excited about food. maybe i want that for him. his life span is tiny
