They/Them

Casually a hardcore Nintendo fan.
I've seen some previews of Metroid Prime 4 on Switch 1.

Much like Twilight Princess, much like Breath of the Wild, and much like Legends Z-A, I can definitively say this game is a game designed very much around its original hardware. It is a Switch 1 game at its core.

One of the biggest mistakes to Metroid Prime 4's marketing is the lack of a recap.

I don't know if the game has the traditional recap cutscene like many Metroid games, but it seems like one of those things that would help avoid alienating newcomers to the franchise.

Here's a bit of a story I've been meaning to share.

In the early years of the Breath of the Wild saga, when Breath of the Wild and Creating a Champion were all we knew of this era, I was an avid AU roleplayer and had a lot of fun with a few friends.

I don't want to speak too soon, but we've been pretty lucky so far with #Metroid Prime 4 not leaking.

Being a Switch 1 game, it is at very high risk of being dumped and distributed before release date.

This can be done either through retailer mistakes or back alley deals of sneaking out the game.

No replies, no quotes? Your loss on a worthwhile discussion.

You can't stop people from buying their favourite things, Nintendo or not.

Leave it up to them to decide whether they want to stop buying.

I finally beat Metroid Prime 1's story. Honestly, I think I don't have the patience to go for 100%, at least anytime soon.

Honestly, not my favourite Metroid game so far. For a remaster of a GameCube game, it's very impressive, but this is an earlier GameCube game. Not as complex as later GC titles

A few days ago at school, I sat through a class presentation talking about Nintendo. It's a bit surprising, considering many people here seem more focused on Instagram and TikTok.

While the presentation was decent, they... clearly do not understand Nintendo.

Not good enough, SEGA.

People need to stop paying for SEGA, even if their games get discounted quickly.

I was initially underwhelmed by the Age of Imprisonment OST. I didn't believe it was as good as Age of Calamity's OST.

However, the AoI main theme might actually be the best Zelda theme I've heard in a while.

Koei Tecmo has announced the release of a content update for Age of Imprisonment.

Welp, time to drop what I'm doing on Metroid Prime Remastered and return to AoI.

I hope it doesn't take too long, because I gotta finish MP1 before Metroid Prime 4 comes out.

Here's something I've been noticing while playing #Metroid Prime Remastered.

I'm not taking screenshots or video captures out of instinct.

I can think of one of two reasons why I'm not:

1. I'm too busy using the Scan Visor

2. I'm constantly backtracking just to find out where to progress

I think it's safe to call it a retro console, even if it's the first HD console.

Personally, where I draw the line is the architecture. Consoles using x86 or ARM64 based architectures are considered modern, consoles that use proprietary architectures or older ARM are considered retro.

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey feels broken in good ways and bad ways after the recent update, which added more moves from Battle Royale. It also sped up the glider.

By using a combination of sliding, rift jumping, and the glider, you can go incredibly fast on foot now.

If you are looking at comments for a YouTube video related to Age of Calamity or Age of Imprisonment, please do not interact with Javier Vasquez.

I had already brought him up before and I'll bring him up again.

He will relentlessly comment against anything related to Age of Calamity.

I don't think I could get used to seeing Nintendo rapid-fire game releases within weeks of each other and not too long after a console launch to prepare for the holidays.

PLZA and AoI aren't even fully Nintendo releases, but Nintendo certainly had to cram them into their release schedule.

Nintendo365 in Nintendo Today! does not showcase Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity as a game released on November 20.

Normally, this isn't a surprise because Koei Tecmo published this game in Japan.

However, Nintendo did add Age of Imprisonment's release date on the app before.

[Switch 2]

Panic Button reveals that they asked by Nintendo to produce Switch 2 updates for New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and ARMS.

This studio is known for their "impossible" Switch 1 ports, such as DOOM (2016).

I've decided to pause my completionist run in Age of Imprisonment to play #Metroid Prime Remastered.

I've held off way too long, partially due to Prime 4's release date being announced quite late.

Since this is my first time playing on Switch 2, I've decided to start a new save file.

The last two Zelda game releases have featured Zelda taking a much more active role in the main story not as the damsel in distress, but as the main protagonist or deutagonist.

I am very glad to see Wes Ball and the producers continuing in this direction.

The Game Awards has become quite the punching bag over the years, and for good reason.

The jury's gameplay bias is absurd. Story-focused genres like visual novels are never nominated for best story, music and rhythm games are never nominated for best music, and there's always a bias for publishers.

Many people celebrated Matt Mercer being cast as Ganondorf after playing Ganondorf in "There Will Be Brawl."

But did you know that ProZD/SungWon Cho, EN voice actor for Calamo in Age of Imprisonment, had previously uploaded a skit that implicitly makes fun of Breath of the Wild's 900 Korok Seeds?

I've attempted to replicate this in Docked mode. Turns out I pushed myself into conditions even more prone to drops in frame rate.

It... was actually playable.

I guess the only explanation is that the Switch 2 dock "de-underclocks" the Switch 2 by a much larger margin than the Switch 1 on Docked.

The moment I returned to Twitter after my social media blackout to play Age of Imprisonment, I was hit with uneasy feelings and general negativity.

I was actually happier not using Twitter, so you know what? To hell with it and its polarized communities!

Bsky, on the other hand, was all positive.

I wasn't able to trigger a game crash, but I was able to get the game to momentarily freeze.

This footage was captured on Nintendo Switch 2 in Handheld mode.
