The big maple tree behind the house is not quite as big and beautiful this fall because of the drought but the sun shining on the mist in the old pasture does make a pretty fall scene.

I absolutely hate the new camera update on Android. It is WAY too easy to move the slider and record video on time lapse which then can't be fixed. This had great sound in real life. ,😭😭😭

I don't mind their size at all. Of course I'd rather be hunting fox squirrels but it is what it is. I will say that gray squirrels are way easier to skin than a fox squirrel and I don't mind that at all. 😊

It ended up being a five squirrel morning. I misjudged that little one on the end. I had been passing up all the little ones. All gray squirrels. I never saw one fox squirrel. Crazy to think that 30 years ago we only had fox squirrels and no gray squirrels.

First stop of the morning. I wasn't exactly stealthy getting here as I felt it necessary to move a bunch of downed limbs on the path as I walked along. 😁 And I forgot my binoculars. I hate that. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ But man this tree I'm sitting against is soooooo comfortable. 😴

Good Monday morning. I decided to do some squirrel hunting this morning. I've been debating shotgun or rifle in my head all morning. I think shotgun. Fall turkey is open too and a shotgun will give me options.😁

Now that the soybeans are off of the field, I spent a couple hours this afternoon metal detecting one end of the field. Apparently I have found the bullet graveyard where all projectiles go to die. 😂😂

Got some brush sprayed. Cut some saplings growing in the old pasture. Treated the stumps. Got nervous that it might rain on my freshly treated sprayed spots so switched to metal detecting. Now I'm in for lunch and some football.

Good Sunday morning. I slept in until almost 7:30am probably thanks to some cold medicine. But I feel good and well rested so I'll take that. No concrete plans other than bacon and eggs for breakfast.😁

It's been several months but I finally have a couple trail cams up and running again. I put one in a spot where I used to have one several years ago. I had forgotten how many rabbit videos show up here. 🐇😂😂
