Aina kun joku sanoo julkisesti jotakin suomalaisesta historiankirjoituksesta, hän väittää että kyseessä on järisyttävä paljastus vaietusta asiasta, vaikka kyseessä on aihe josta tutkivat ovat edellisen 10-50 vuoden aikana sanoneet jokseenkin kaiken mitä siitä voi sanoa.

Otherwise, Huns have not played any central role in Finnish historiography, afaik. Of course, in context it's just a substitute for Mongol/Tatar as an insult (thanks!).

The amazing thing is that while Europeans are slapping themselves on the back for their dealings with Trump, what he has done is take sanctions on Russia off the table and put giving Ukrainian territory to Russia very much on the table.
