There's a lot of bad things happening in the world.

But this past Saturday was a win:

As you cancel streaming services, here is a casual reminder that only 16% of Americans read for pleasure anymore, and your local library has hundreds or thousands of books you haven't read.

They would love to see you stop by and renew your library card.
Not gonna lie, I struggled when I learned I could never have kids over a decade ago.

But now I'm seeing that issue as a good thing because I wouldn't even know how to handle this kinda stuff as a parent.
It's a little emotionally overwhelming when you, who is the normal caregiver & overall independent person, are put in a situation where you need to be taken care of and your fiance goes above & beyond what you expected.
Sending good weekend vibes to everyone.

Goodness knows we need more good happening.

Biggest takeaway from Week 1 of teaching this year: how absolutely divorced the conversation around education is from what actually takes place in the classroom.

Way too many folks not in the classroom talking loudly about a classroom that they no longer (or never did) understand...
Been at this level for a long time.....
Going on my quote wall
Good morning, beloved.

Empathy is the antidote to a hardened heart.

Today is a great day to overcome evil with good.
I get that it's hard as a T to not take it kinda personal as a "failure" that you aren't solving everything all the time. I wish there was more consistent emphasis on "you aren't going to get it right 100%, you have to grow your skills & collaborate w/ others". We ask kids to do it that way 🤷🏻‍♀️
I remember hearing how different my 6th graders were for me vs another T & it was always negative. Like "why are they so bad for me?" But it was a hypothetical. The other T didn't really want to evaluate how he might need to change, just complain. I think that's just the mentality for some ppl.
I am hooked
This is cool as hell and **mad** fascinating
OSINT folks, the bar has been raised

WHAT TO DO IF ICE COMES KNOCKING
1) REMEMBER YOU HAVE RIGHTS
2) ICE CAN AND WILL LIE TO YOU
3) THEY CANNOT ENTER WITHOUT A WARRANT SIGNED BY A JUDGE
4) THEY WILL USUALLY NOT HAVE A WARRANT SIGNED BY A JUDGE AND WILL OFTEN LIE AND SAY THEY HAVE ONE. ASK TO SEE IT BEFORE THEY ENTER
I'm so glad I got out of federal service before my office turned into some tacky wannabe 80s movie set.

Editing training videos makes me feel soothed and frustrated at the same time 🫠

Day one of a new job done.

People are nice and culture seems to value autonomy and collaboration.

But the hour commute one-way is brutal.....
😂😂 Lord a mercy....

Still fully support the genius of the quote
