Bunnygirl RTS/TBS unit who says "on the hop" and "bouncing over" when you order her to move somewhere.
I tend to shelve things by category and that’s why Yazeba’s and His Majesty the Worm sit next to all my hoa/house documentation.
Yeah my follow up was gonna be “not that you necessarily like speed metal” so through the power of team work we’ve solved it.
Just recontextualize it as speed metal, ez
Oh shit oh fuck oh no

Trying to find more avant-garde music or tribal ambient from the Philippines. Never knew this composer but a fellow Filipino friend rec’d it. Was on the Tzadik label. It’s very fitting for Halloween sonically. Purely gongs, percussive sounds, voices, and chants inside a temple.
Anyway Davey says that a friend told him (at a function where he was wearing the same outfit he has on in the interview) he looked “60s desert sex cult” and thats when he decided to fully lean into it
I haven’t finished it but I’ve been watching it in chunks. Also imo most of the important/engaging stuff is in the first 2 hour segment. Some incredibly fun anecdotes/soundbytes, highly recommended.
Did you watch the 4 hour hardlore interview?
Tbh I just want AFI to get more of the cred that people assign to MCR.
Yeah my take on it being best is cuz it does sit so well between the two that I think best represent their two greatest strengths. I gotta brush up on their post decemberunderground stuff, but I find it unlikely that I’ll enjoy it more than their late 90s/early 00s material.
…it now occurs to me that you’re likely using “most important” in a personal context as opposed to a greater one whoops.
Now I may be from rural Alaska so my engagement with The Culture is pretty idiosyncratic but just from being in high school most of that time, the differences in alt/scene/punk culture from 03-06 were huge and StS was a big part of why

in Socialist NYC the only music you can listen to on Halloween is Merzbow
My Big AFI Opinions are that black sails is my favorite, art of drowning is their “best” and sing the sorrow is their most important. And it’s not that I dislike pre-Jade stuff, it’s just that it doesn’t really much stand out from the greater 90s skate punk/hardcore milieu to me
