i press the A button, attempting to inspect an object. this opens the overworld menu, where i can attempt to "talk" to the object. choosing this is pointless because objects cannot talk. also i have no idea what any item will do before i use it unless its name is obvious enough b/c no descriptions

dragon quest 3 is cool so far, i like how much freedom it gives you from the start. you can make whatever party you want! the world is your oyster! it's also cool how i never know how things are gonna play out because there weren't as many norms for it to conform to
