This week I got tired of this draft, and thankfully I finished it.
My first drafts are always short, messy, and never fail to irritate me by the time I'm done writing them.

I am so deeply in love with the characters for this WIP. Getting to know them, and who they're meant to be, has been an absolute joy.

Also being very firm in my habit of writing every day has helped a lot with my mental health 💕

Full honesty; the pacing got away from me. I got so wrapped up in either world building or exposition that it reads very stop-and-start... which, y'know, removes a lot of the "horror" from a horror story.
BUT I know what I want to change for the next draft.

November has been rough for imposter syndrome, specifically when it came to anything social media related.
I've been writing perfectly fine, but it's the posting that sucks my soul out.

I'll get better at it eventually, but it's a steep learning curve

I love characters that are two sides of the same coin. Maybe they've gone through similar trauma and turned out different, or there's a fundamental part of them that's the same but presents different.

Either way, they see a little of themselves in each other.

In an academic program in high school, someone was talking shit about trade schools and creative work. To get them to shut up I applied for a creative program (at a trade school) in front of them.

I loved the program, so I went straight into the industry.

Not only did I make good progress despite some heavy writer's block, but I also hit my goal for the whole month!
Because of this, my goal has since shifted to "See how much I can get done".
