So sorry to hear this! I got it about a month ago and it was rough. First day it hurt to use my eyes but thankfully that subsided. Felt very different from first time and was in a fog for a couple weeks. Hope you bounce back soon but please listen to your body and take the time you need to heal.

Highest 2 Lowest is my movie of summer. So beautiful and thrilling and fun and thematically resonant to right now. The “battle” climax was so inventive it took my breath away. Haven’t felt like that watching a movie in a very long time.

Finally got around to watching the directors cut of Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven. I remember Esad praising this ages ago. Despite being over 3 hours it flies by. So well paced and beautifully crafted. Incredible design and presentation. Love Edward Norton’s performance as the gentle Leper King.

Awesome. What a perfect way to first experience this great film. Love all the design choices. I picked up the blu ray Warners put out about 10 years ago. It’s housed in a little hardcover book about the making of the film and has a letter from Friedkin. Will definitely get this new version!
