There was a documentary about Gramsci I used to use in a Political Theory class in which Gramsci was dramatized and played by the late John Sessions. Had a lot of Sardinian folk singing in it as well I recall. Might be on YouTube.
Lefebvre was published in (from memory) the 50s by Gurvitch in Cahiers Internationaux de Sociologie, doubtless to the horror of the Stalinist intelligentsia of the time. He spoke of Gurvitch in a positive way in his autobiography. Other Marxists at this time were painting Gurvitch as “bourgeois”.
