Watched #FrightNight for the first time in a long while. It’s brilliant but a lot less concise than I remember. Enter the house / leave the house / enter the house / leave the house / enter the room/ leave the room / enter the room / leave the room. Still, bloody brilliant.

#NightoftheHunter (1955) is an incredible piece of filmmaking. It’s like a David Lynch film 20 years before David Lynch. The stark lighting and strange atmosphere throughout make it a real joy to watch. (If disturbing is your thing.) it’s hokey in parts by today’s standards but still holds up.

Had a chance to see #Wendell&Wild

It was fun. There’s something gentle about this animation: there’s a kind of stillness to the action, like when a character throws an object and it sails slowly through the air until it’s caught.

#TheBrainThatWouldn’tDie: a #MarvelouslyTerrible movie. I loved every second of it.

Nothing about it is realistic—not the science nor the portrayal of people‘s reactions to pretty much anything that happens throughout the entire movie.
Wonderfully melodramatic as only a bad old B movie can be.

Watched the #FearStreet series recently. They were fun-ish. Although they relied on all the classic slasher / witch / psycho / teen movie tropes, it felt more like a horror adventure series. Not really scary, just gross and fun.

Put on 1999‘s horror/comedy #IdleHands last night. It wasn’t great.

They basically turned the scene from #EvilDead2 where Ash‘s hand gets possessed into a whole movie. The soundtrack had its moments: #Sublime #Rancid and #JessicaAlba was lovely.
