Any eBike repair people on here?
Do you remember when JD Vance said Trump was America's Hitler and we all thought,
"Wow! He really doesn't like Trump."
But he really did.
This is the crucial point isn't it?
If we're obviously only 3-4 years maximum away from a deeply euro-phobic right wing govt. of either turquoise or blue flavour, then we've got no chance of being allowed back in.
I suspect we're edging towards that point and the sad truth is that the politics will be decided by sceptics, a change in heart by even more Leavers and cautious Labour strategists.
Those of us who never wanted to leave and always wanted to rejoin may never get a say.
I don't think that was true for 2024 was it? The Lib Dems had a commitment to rejoin the SM and CU and whilst they did well, they aren't the government.
So when did the situation change? At what point did a manifesto promise to rejoin the EU become a sure fire election winner?

My colleagues & I have taken a huge gamble to set up @thenerve.news We’re trying to build a new independent publication from the ground up. Social media is our only distribution for now.

Sharing this article in your networks would make a huge difference. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
NEW: The British politician, his Russian intelligence handler & a Kremlin plot against the US & Ukraine.

My new piece about Nathan Gill and Nigel Farage for @thenerve_news in which we ask:

Why, even now, is no-one asking questions?

And finally be obliged to accept a Reform entryist who will defect 3 weeks later if he (for nearly all wife-beaters are men) is elected.
It's just possible that the country heard of billions and billions of unfunded tax cuts, mainly for the already wealthy, and thought,
"Oh no! Not the Tories again!"
Imagine how much worse it could have been if he'd been the slightest bit interested in governing. I've forgotten how many holidays he went on in the first year. They dropped off a bit when it became clear he would be loudly booed and heckled every time he was seen out in public.
No, he's never been entertaining.
Johnson always locked down too late in a ridiculous attempt to avoiding lock down altogether.
He exacerbated the problem by staging superspreader events every single time- Cheltenham Festival, Liverpool-Atletico Madrid, eatout to help out, sending kids back to school for 4 hours after Christmas....
We're aong way from informing and educating eh?
And even the entertainment bit could have gone better. Who doesn't love a big political gotcher?
Bruce has failed dismally in this example.
The only thing I miss about Twitter is that sometimes I'd go and have a look at what the barmpots were getting angry at today, just for a laugh.

Here’s the map for the swallow. Each dot represents a bird, and each line links the places where they were found.
A map of Europe and Africa, with multicoloured dots, and connecting lines leading roughly north to south.
Absolutely. Force Farage to spell out the facts in Parliament.
If he lies in there then he's in trouble.
Might need a select committee or some other vehicle.

Well, it’s up Labour and their 400 MPs to make sure that this is fully exposed and the main talking point on every politics show. They should be asking questions in Parliament too. And I thought that this is the sort of thing that should be planted as a Q during PMQs too.
Not really. It's his job now.
He's becoming the reason he left the BBC.
You must have listened to a different speech. Isn't she reversing every tax rise? Cutting other taxes for the wealthy and slashing the state to the bone?
So we increase wealth inequality still further and become a smaller, poorer, even more broken country than the last time they were in charge.
I'd be a lot happier if I was offered the choice between tax rises or a return to the customs union and the single market.
All of these loons ignore the fact that in the 70s, Britain and all its old industries (fishing, steel, coal, textiles) were slowly going bankrupt prior to joining the Common Market and now we're doing the same thing all over again.
Or Shirer's superb Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

They keep saying they won't vote and then Nige pops up with a 'brand new' protest party. Once they realise it's the same old grift hopefully they'll just stop voting.
Nowt to do with Brexit then? 😉
I know the problem - they were actually far too shit at government ever to fit the list in a tweet.
