More for Orktober.
Beast Snagga Squighogs.

Another unit that massively intimidated me, but once you block some colours on they start to make sense.

Red flesh is a new technique, I saw online. Purple base coat and red layered on from there.
Ah, the EW GIRLS, option.

Valid.

My head cannon is still that first born gene seed was limited and badly flawed on purpose - the big E always wanted a get out clause like the Thunder Warriors.
Crawl has just made the gene seed E should have done - which should include XY chromosome options
Discworld Granny Weatherwax from Micro Art Studio.
I've had this figure a long time and never know what to do with her, until now.

#Discworld
A game of 40k last night - 2 games in a fortnight?!? - this time 40k with my brother.
My World Eaters won on points, but I was completely tabled by his Space Marines.

The various possessed units were the real stars of the game
That would work for me.
The can't becomes ingrained dogma rather than physical impossibility.
That's my only ever issue with fluff changes.
Does it go against something that has been said before?

Female custodes - nothing explicit. So it's fine.
Female first born marines - fluff says it's incompatible. Not ok then.
Primaris, however, this is entirely new fluff you can play with.
I'm pretty sure GW just haven't mentioned it since as it just hasn't come up in conversation.
While those who hate it assume silence is a retcon.

I love the idea of women in the custodes and, ultimately, wouldn't be upset if it turned out Primaris allows it too.
Celebrating Orktober by starting on some orks - in this case Burna Boyz
Is it the caulk/grout/paint mix on a dust sheet method I've seen a fair bit online?
I tried a test field with that once and just could not work with the mix, but others have great results.
Stunning. It's absolutely stunning.

I would love to build a board like that for my Agincourt games.
A complicated week of work, a game (!?!) and finding out that due to the eldest being in primary school, the whole household now has nits. Yay!

A mixed bag of finished figures. Incursers for my Primaris, plasma support for Ravenguard and horse holders for my ACW Confederates
I really hope @mikebrooks668.bsky.social is getting some kind of cut of Voidscarred kill team figure sales.
It's a really good book - thank you very much for the reveal(?) in the very last chapter - I might not have forgiven him if not for that, and now I really want a kill team / army of corsairs
I was gutted when Hobby Craft stopped selling them.
I used to just buy them in batches of however many I could physically carry.
My first game in a few months with a mate I've not seen since the start of the year.
We barely played any of the game in the 4 or 5 hours we were there as it was nice to just catch up with a beer.

Great game.

ACW using Rebels ans Patriots
It's too late for me now, but it's worth knowing.
Mine is in two parts - split at the waist as it slots on nicely and makes storage easier, but getting to the inside tanks was a worry of mine.
I've got one of these primed and waiting some motivation from me to start actually painting.

I love your one - the metal tanks really look good, giving a break to the RED on most others.
Everyone on Facebook is writing in capitals about how ITS LITERALLY OVER. THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE.

So, calm and measured.
Another busy week with the Cancer Research running challenge - a tenner away from my target! - and a day off work to try and tidy the man cave - it has visible carpet now!

Today, I did manage to finish the Taurox Prime I need for my Tempestus Scions combat patrol.
This is a really nice kit
Starting tomorrow, I'm running the Cancer Research UK 10 days of 5kms.

I'm really lucky not to be running because I have a sob story, but others aren't as lucky as me, and it's time we put an end to it.

I have made a start laying out some terrain for my Monmouth stuff and medieval games. Still plenty to do
Another busy week at home and at work with other things on my mind, but I sat down and made sure something got finished.
My Tempestus Scion command squad for a combat patrol game I have planned in a months time.

Nothing mind blowing on this squad, but it's just nice to see stuff moving.
My family and I went fossil hunting at Charmouth with @charmouthhcc.bsky.social on Saturday. My 4 year old was spectacular at finding Ammonites, but I was pleased to spot a ichthyosaur vertebrae right as the tour was ending.
Is it the biggest? No. But it's mine.
Now, how do I mount it to a wall?
Also, from the box of bits I was sent, there were all the pieces to make a Rhino - after some digging - so I added it to my World Eaters.
Purposely built and painted differently to the other two rhino chassis vehicles as I don't imagine they have anyone looking after their vehicle pool
A guy in my area is getting out of the hobby and selling his pile of potential really cheaply, so it seemed rude not to buy a box or two.
One unit I've wanted for ages are some blade guard - this is the first unit.
