Today I was editing a chapter in the book, and a line I wrote maybe three or four years ago (when I started) hit me really hard today. Maybe I'm a sap, but I think this might be an ok book if an old cynic like me can tear up a bit reading my own shit.

Or maybe I forgot to take my pill?

Ok #Progressive #Political Friends, You're stoked about folks like #Mamdani winning in NYC! You should be, but I was once super inspired by a candidate named Barack Obama. Here's what I learned about what we did wrong with Obama, and how we can avoid these mistakes moving forward.

Buckle Up!

Speaker Johnson, this is only an issue if Trump has done something worthy of impeachment.

What you're implicitly saying is that you believe #Trump has already committed impeachable offenses, but you're party won't hold him accountable for that today.

You want Democrats to do your job for you.
Don’t threaten us with a good time.

Hey, #America, for 40 years you let the wealthy and corporations set the rules, so they could profit while your quality of life was sliced away bit by bit.

All the while, you had the innate right to fight back…

Turns out that voters don't like the party that invades them, starves them, and arrests them.

Mamdani just made an old cynical man like me believe just a little bit in the promise of America again.

Maybe we could be the shining city of justice on top of that hill.

Maybe we aren't on an inevitable decline into fascism.

Maybe there's something left worth fighting for.

The #GOP and the entire Democratic Party establishment was against him, and the guy still fucking won.

Update on 'the book'.

The First Draft is 100% complete.
It clocked in at just over 103,000 words.
I have a lot more work to do moving ahead.
I have a tentative due date Mid Nov to try and get it out to trusted readers for some early feedback.

Small victory for me.
I completed the first draft of Act 3 of my book.
I just have to write the epilogue and the first draft is done.
100k+ on the word count.

Pace has picked up.

This should #disturb all of us. The US Government under Trump is murdering civilians with no proof, no due process, no evidence. They are testing our tolerance of the murder of innocent civilians with zero oversight by exploiting foreign nationals.

Hearing that #WWE was going to start outsourcing their creative to AI was the last straw for me. Obviously, the political affiliations of senior leadership was already a red flag, but with the product becoming stale creative, I think I've made the decision to just part ways with that fandom.

It's very telling that #Speaker Mike Johnson refuses seat the last vote to approve the release of the #epsteinfiles nearly 3 weeks after she won her seat.

It's pretty clear the #GOP does not want those files out there.

What do you think will happen when they are finally released?
October 23, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Going to tease this here.

In early 2026 I will have a public facing project that I am launching on my own. It's a return to content creation.

No, it won't be a #podcast.

Yes, I am excited about it.

I'd love some thoughts on this, but I had some feelings as to why I think #ArtificialIntelligence apps and services have somewhat missed the mark, and why the potential AI Bubble could have been avoided.

As usual, it feels like we're not having BIG PICTURE discussions.

I've been spending this year recovering the spirit within me necessary to write something besides small #bluesky posts. It's been a really insightful year, where I've had to face a lot of my own bullshit in the pursuit of something big.

The fact our Federal Government is deadlocked on a budget is ridiculous. The reason we're deadlocked is because Republicans want to jack up health care premiums for most Americans, while eliminating coverage for millions of others.

The Rain today may have been a little disruptive, but I am glad for the change of weather. It's nice to have a day in the Fall Season that actually feels like Fall.

This article showcases that the #trumptrariffs are generating revenue to the tune of 190 Billion in 2025, but that makes little difference when our annual budget is 6.6 Trillion dollars, and the deficit today is 1.6 Trillion per year. Also, that 190b is essentially a new tax on the US.

Saw Weapons. It’s a very good film. Top to bottom, very strong. The story may not be everyone’s cup o tea. I enjoyed it.

Humble advice on reading.
Buy books from Independent Book Stores. Sure, it’s not as convenient as clicking two buttons on an app, but you get more out of a long relationship with a book seller over time.

Conservatives took the death of #charliekirk and turned a tragedy into a rhetorical opportunity to silence dissent from the American people (mostly liberals).

If folks are scolded into believing they can't call a fascist a fascist, then the fascists win.

Here's how.
