Nothing. We lost a downstairs neighbor in a (legal) basement apt during a flood in 2021. The city has done nothing for us. When there's heavy rain now, to protect our coop from flooding, my partner and a couple of others go stand in the street and keep the drains clear with their bare hands.

My partner is the president of our coop board and was literally just outside standing up to his knees in floodwater keeping the drains clear with his own hands to keep our building from flooding. Again. He's 66 yrs old. We both plan to vote for you on Tuesday. I hope you'll actually help with this.

You kids talking shit about Gen X because of the polling numbers for NYC mayor need to STFU and go look at some photos of the No Kings protests. Talk is cheap. Gen X actually shows up. If we lose this race to Cuomo, it will be because young people didn't show up, as usual.

Many of the redhats who are about to drink the kool-aid for this Surgeon General nom are the same people who declared at the top of their lungs that Regina Benjamin, who was Surg Gen under Obama and had a stunningly impressive resume, was inherently unqualified because she was chubby.
